Assisted Suicide, Physician-Assisted Suicide and Euthanasia

In February 2024, members of the Arizona Legislature introduced HB 2878 and SB 1530, titled "End-of-life decisions; terminally ill individuals."

The bills sought to legalize conduct previously known as assisted suicide, physician-assisted suicide and euthanasia. The bills termed these practices medical aid in dying. The proposed text can be read by clicking each bill.

On February 6, 2024, the Senate Bill was read for the second time, but went no further. On February 8, 2024, the House bill was read for the second time, but went no further.
