Legislature Closes: Assisted Suicide/Euthanasia Bills Failed to Move

In 2020, the Arizona State Legislature was scheduled to convene on January 13 and adjourn on April 25.[1] Due to concern over the corona virus, the Legislature suspended its session, effective March 23, 2020, through May 19, 2020, at which time the House reconvened.[2]

During the session, three bills had been introduced seeking to legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia. All three failed to move out of committee in their houses of origin. See here and here.
On May 26, 2020, the Legislature closed.[3]
